John Gebhardt in Iraq  His wife,
Mindy, related that this little girl's
entire family was executed by
insurgents.  They intended to
execute her also and shot her in the
head, but they failed to kill her. She
was cared for by John's hospital and
is healing, but has been crying and
moaning. The nurses said John is
the only one she seems to calm
down with, so John has spent the
last four nights holding her while
they both sleep in that chair. The girl
is coming along with her healing.

PEACE, PEACE, AND FAREWELL
These wreaths- some 5,000, are donated by the
Worchester Wreath Company of Harrington, Maine. The
owner, Merrill Worchester, not only provides the
wreaths, but covers the trucking expense as well. He's
done this since 1922.
Also, most years groups of Maine school children
combine an educational trip to Washington, DC with this
event to help out. Making the event even more
remarkable is the fact that Harrington is one of the
poorest parts of the state.
